The buildings on the Pioneer Pleasant Vale campus had very old and damaged metal roofs with failing seams that had allowed wind-driven rain into the buildings for years. Furthermore, the existing metal edge of the barrel roof on the elementary school gym had been improperly installed, so rain had been leaking down the interior walls of the gym.
To address the leaks, the Coryell team installed an energy efficient, UV reflective 60 mil Duro-Tuff® metal retrofit over every building on the campus and added new gutters and downspouts. They were able to remove the edge metal on the gym and terminate into a newer gutter system, which stopped rain from leaking down the interior walls. The team recommended a unique membrane color, tan, to match the school buildings, and red edge metal to highlight the sections. The new roofing systems give the campus a coordinated, clean look with a color combination that really pops!
