2020 and 2021 have been challenging times for many Texas schools. Denton ISD’s Harpool Middle School experienced a significant setback when freezing temperatures caused a fire suppression system to burst, flooding the building. When we heard about the issues, we delivered a donation of gift cards to help the school’s teachers in their time of need. The school has been closed due to the damage and getting support from a community-focused business was a pleasant surprise that has raised spirits. Coryell employees Blake Cooper and Wendell Olson dropped off the gift cards with a great deal of enthusiasm from all involved.
“Another situation where students and teachers have been displaced by circumstances that are not within their control,” commented Cooper, one of Coryell Roofing’s Texas Education Consultant and retired superintendent. “I hope Coryell Roofing can play a small part in helping teachers get back on their feet with supplies so they can help meet the needs of those students under their care.”
Coryell operates in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas, providing first-class commercial roofing and construction services. An essential part of our company vision is to be a positive force in the communities it serves.
We are so thankful to Friends of Texas Public Schools for their support and liaisonship during this donation process. Jennifer Storm, Executive Director at Friends of Texas Public Schools, remarked about the company’s work to lend a hand, “Texas school districts do so much for their respective communities. Now they need help recovering after the winter storm. Friends is proud to partner with Coryell to provide some assistance.”
