Last week, the Coryell team received word from Chris Coryell, who heard it from our Assistant General Manager, Summer, who got the info from Eliott the Elf, who was told by Comet the Reindeer he overheard Mr. and Mrs. Claus discussing something VERY interesting. This year, billions of gifts are going to be delivered to schools, too!
Comet told Eliott, who told Summer, who then told Chris, that he heard Santa say that he had received trillions of letters from teachers who missed their students. All they want is for COVID-19 to disappear and for their students to come back to school. Well, since a vaccine has arrived, that will make that wish come true, BUT since kiddos and some staff will still be out of the classrooms, he decided to deliver gifts to SCHOOLS this year so that kids could go back and see their teachers. Santa and the school superintendents arranged special gift pick-up procedures that follow CDC guidelines for. Thank goodness Santa is immune to COVID!
Runner and Hoof Damage
We think this is GREAT, but we also know what else this means…”runner and hoof” damage. It’s not typical; there is just simply not enough gift-giving going on at schools for Christmas Eve, so Santa rarely needs to land — but on occasion, he does.
Sleigh and roof damage is a very real concern for schools; “We have had some pretty severe damage reported the week after Christmas that was classic ‘runner and hoof’ damage…any good roofer can spot it,” says Marcus Borchers, Coryell’s QA and Service Manager
