Blake jumped on the Coryell Roofing express on July 1, 2020, as a Texas Education Consultant. Preceding his time at Coryell, Blake spent 33 years as an educator: classroom Teacher, Coach, Principal, Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, and retired as Superintendent in Commerce ISD. A memorable highlight in his education career was 2014–2015, when Blake was awarded Region 10 ESC Superintendent of the Year. His beloved hometown is Houston, TX (Alief), and he attended Texas A&M University-Commerce (formally, East Texas State University). Blake’s hobbies include yard work and spending time with his beautiful grandchildren. He has been married to his beloved wife, Tammy, for 38 years and counting; they have three children married now and six grandbabies between them. Words spoken by President Theodore Roosevelt have come to resonate with Blake through the years. Roosevelt said, “People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
